Brainstorms, mind maps, idea banks, reflective journals & scrapbooks, plans of action, flow diagrams, tree diagrams, gantt charts, spreadsheets, databases.
"Students are required to go beyond just identifying project steps. Planned actions should include planning for & monitoring progress, recording key planning decisions, reviewing key stage & review points & storing information".

BASIC PROJET MANAGEMENT
To help manage your time you can write to-do lists, use a diary or use free software like Google Calendar to schedule events & reminders that prompt you to do tasks.

PAPER BASED PROJECT MANAGEMENT 
Plan your time & project by writing notes & other information on a piece of paper. 
Its a quick way of writing down all the things, ideas, key points etc you need to consider before using digital tools to plan your project in more detail.

TREE DIAGRAM PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Tree diagrams let you visualise information as diagrams in boxes/shapes that can link to each other. Its a quick way to digitally plan main points of a project & add approx times to each point. These are free tree diagrams apps Draw.io, Lucidchart, Visme, Venngage, Visual Paradigm. GANTT CHART PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Gantt charts let you visualise information in a horizontal spreadsheet time line.
You can plan a project with time & specific information & more detail. 
Most companies use Gantt Charts to plan their projects. To create your own Gantt chart, sign into your Google account, click the dots, select Sheets, select Gantt Chart by Smartsheet.
